03Data Storage & Security
Images captured by the camera are processed on-device using Apple Vision framework and are not stored or transmitted. Extracted text is sent to AI services (Google Gemini) for analysis — these services process text without persistent storage tied to your identity. Your personal library is stored securely with encryption.
04Third-Party Services
NovelistAI uses: (a) Apple Vision — on-device OCR (no data leaves your device); (b) Google Gemini — AI craft analysis (governed by Google's privacy policy); (c) Firebase — anonymous authentication and analytics.
