01Information We Collect
vyvid is built to be local-first. Your journal entries and medication logs are stored on your device, encrypted at rest. The App does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or any sign-up information. If you subscribe to vyvid Plus, Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receive a purchase identifier and device model to manage your subscription — never your journal content.
02Voice & Journal Content
Speech-to-text transcription happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your voice audio is never sent to us or to any server. If you use the optional Auto Journal feature, the text of a saved entry (never audio) is sent to our extraction service to identify structured details like mood or sleep mentions. That text is processed to generate a response and is not stored on our servers afterward.
03How We Use Your Information
Information sent to the Auto Journal extraction service is used only to generate the structured facets returned to your device for that request. We do not use your journal content to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or for any purpose beyond fulfilling that request.
04Data Storage & Security
On-device data is protected using iOS file encryption tied to your device passcode. We do not operate a cloud database of journal entries. Requests to the Auto Journal extraction service are sent over encrypted connections (TLS) and are not logged or retained once a response is returned.
05Third-Party Services
vyvid uses: (a) Apple's on-device speech recognition — for voice transcription, which never leaves your device; (b) RevenueCat and Apple's App Store — to manage optional subscriptions, receiving only purchase and device identifiers; (c) our Auto Journal extraction service, built on Anthropic's Claude API — to process the text of entries you explicitly submit for extraction. We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
06Your Control & Deletion
You can delete individual entries or erase your entire journal history at any time from within the App. Because your data lives on your device, deleting it there removes it completely — we hold no separate copy. You may also request deletion of anything previously sent to the Auto Journal service by contacting us.
07Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because vyvid stores your journal on-device, most of these rights are already in your hands through the App's own delete and export tools. 08Children's Privacy
vyvid is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the Auto Journal feature, please contact us so we can address it.
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
